street view does not work, "loading labels failed due to an unknown error".

i get this error as soon as i open the app "loading labels failed due to an unknown error".
i then can go ahead and use google earth.. just not in street view, as it says it's unavailable, and i'm unable to look up locations, i have already reinstalled, verified integrity of game files and other usual common fixes, nothing worked
any ideas?

Dang, I'm not sure what to suggest then tbh. Maybe you need to completely delete any trace of Google Earth VR (the main files, settings files, etc. outside the steam directory too) and that might fix it?

Edit: Apparently to a few forum posts it could be caused by google services being blocked by your government/isp. Apparently someone in China had to use a VPN for it to work. So try it with a VPN first and see what happens

Yeah i've read that already, tried a vpn in several different countries, still nothing
