Google Earth VR crashes computer with new GPU
Today I installed a new RTX 3060 Ti and got my HP Reverb G2 to work with other games like Half-Life: Alyx. However, with Google Earth VR, when it finishes building the earth, it hard crashes my computer, causing the entire thing to just shut off. I've tried installing a new chipset driver as well as switching the USB power settings to prevent it from disabling USB slots. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Today I installed a new RTX 3060 TI and did not have this problem. I have Vive, i7 6700k. My old GTX 970 drivers were uninstalled and deleted via device manager after booting into safe mode. New drivers dated 1/7/2021 from geforce experience.

If your old drivers weren't deleted using safe mode or DisplayDriverUninstaller, look into how to fix that.
Maybe verify your Google Earth VR files, maybe delete your Google Earth VR cache. Maybe the issue is with the Steam WMR layer and you should open a steam ticket.

I actually just upgraded the rest of my PC since it was a pre-built that I tried to put a 3060 Ti into. The upgrades were needed anyway, and the game works now. Thanks anyway!
