Sorry, but yes, you are confusing two things. The app here takes its data from the main google servers. The buildings you see are the same anyone would see on the main google applications (not VR). They are still updating images, maps, street views, and 3d cities for those. These changes are reflected on VR too, so that's why we get updated cities. But they don't care about the VR app itself. It is exactly the same as it was many years ago, meaning it is full of little inconveniences and not very stable (at least for me). Don't get us wrong, we also love it, but it's falling behind the new updates in VR hardware and graphics capabilities. Not to mention the very awkward controls.
Ya, guys who think they are going to see their house like Goggle Earth non-VR are going to be pretty disappointed, lol!
