Google Earth VR

Google Earth VR

internet connection dead when starting Google Earth VR
Every time when I start goole earth VR, after a few minutes my internet connection dies. I have to power cycle my cable modem and my netgear firewall/router in order to gain internet access again. It is not limited to the PC where google earth VR is running on.
This is a 100% deterministic. How can I check what's going wrong here? are there some special network packets sent which may my networking hardware cannot handle? I do not have any networking issues apart from that, streaming netflix, downloading big files and so on. It's a 500mb/s down and a 50mb/s up link.

Do you loose connection only on the PC or on all other devices? Is it possible that the router is overheating? Have you checked if there is no denial-of-service warning in the router stats/logs (some routers can be configured to be too over-jealous with their DoS protection) ?

I loose it on all the devices concurrently. I checked the router for heat also last time but it was just as a warm as usual. I have not checked for DDOS or QoS (Quality of Service) issues. I'll check that next time.
Any other ideas?

Not beyond the usual troubleshooting: check logs for unusual entries, update firmware, search the internet for people with similar problems with that modem/router

I'm also experiencing the same problem, and my router doesnt seem to be overheated either

Does Google Earth VR use all your available bandwidth? If you have a traffic shaping program like NetLimiter, you can try limiting the application's bandwidth to 80% of your total bandwidth.

Are you using a wireless adapter? Internet connection dies when I turn on the Vive Controllers.

Its not just on the devices, I cant browse the web on my PC either. I get an error message that my PC isnt connected to the internet anymore

Have you checked the logs in your router? Have you contacted your ISP to enquire about the dropped connection?

I use a cable and no WIFI. My router logs do not state anything unusual.
