same for me.. and when you zoom to street scale nothing really renders all the way is this how it's supposed to be?

At street scale this is as good as it gets for now (until they somehow integrate the streetview images).
For me there is some texture pop-in, but not more than in normal Google Earth.
I dont think its my internet (76mbps) or ram (16gb ddr3 1866) so that only leaves my hdd. Anyone having this problem with it installed on an ssd?

How bad is it for you? I am running on an SSD, but I assumed that the limited pop-in was from downloading the data from Google.
Its not major, id say it takes about 5-10 seconds to fully render an area

I'll install it on my c drive which is an ssd, see if it helps in any way

I have it installed on a dedicated SSD for my steam games and there is still a lot of waiting for things to load. I figured it was internet connection downloading it all from google.

Would love to have some sort of caching option at least for saved areas...
I tend to go to an area and not move at all for about 1 minute, just look around and see the places I wanna go check out. By then everything is loaded.
It looks great from above but as soon as you try to get to street human level, the graphics are ugly. Why can't they use real looking street views.

Look around, you'll find the asnwer. The devs have posted it. It should also be common sense, I really doubt you can't figure it out.
see the thing is, its loading the data from a google server, thats why the install size is only 1gb or something small and you sometimes wait a while for stuff to load in, can you imagine how many terraflops (1000gb) this game would require if it saved every single "texture" of the entire world, graphically heavy well textured games push about 80GB for 10 or so maps as the main part of file size, so this is really about as good as it can get for this program
Have you never actually used Google Earth? It's downloading huge satellite images on demand. There's no way to speed this up.

"Derp why isn't it all installed on my PC?" I hear you ask. Because the entirety of the images are in the exobytes and no home user has anywhere close to the amount of space needed.
