bring in your places (maps) from google maps or gpx, kml files

love this app. love flying around to see all the cool sites around the world but now i want to use it for real life things. Would like a way to bring in tacks, through my maps in google maps or load a gpx or kml file. i want to follow the track in google eart VR to get a preview where im going hiking and biking. Would be very useful

Actually a bit astonished this has not been added. Looking around is great but adding relevant data seems like a must for most applications. Anyone know why this hasn't been added?

Guess the interface for creating them in VR might be clunky (i know I would also create the KMLs outside of VR), so a "local co-op" screen for setting them up might be good.

I'd love to import my places I want to visit from Google Maps or Google Earth Desktop.

Also a bit sad that a internal format is used to store the saved places in Google Earth VR

If this wasn't the case you could build a third party plugin to generate saved places from other data.

Definitely add me to this list. I use Google Earth to track trails and it would be even better to be able to track them in GE VR.
