"Maximum number of places".... reallly?
Hi Google. In a world of nearly unlimited data storage, I can't imagine that saving a location - a set of coordinates - takes up that much data. I mean you're already using my hard drive to save the photos of all the locations I visit - which I love! Why the heck am I getting a message that I've saved a "maximum number of places"??? I literally have only saved 180 places I like...and the world is HUGE, why in the heck would you limit the number of places a person can save?

Please remove this ridiculous, artificial limitation on saving the number of amazing places and incredible views I find!

Hi toaaron,

Glad you like the saving feature and thank you for the feedback! We want to revisit the saving feature at some point but don't have anything planned at the moment.

All places are saved as JPEGs in a "Google Earth VR" directory in your Pictures directory. For now, a workaround could be to manually backup the images yourself.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that. But please, by all means, get rid of the limitation at some point.

I love Google Earth VR and want to store a ton of locations - not just the photos, but locations I can revisit in the future.

Thanks for supporting the Vive!

Going to go ahead and necro this thread as I also have run up against the limit. It's been six years, have you put more thought into removing the cap? I don't know about other people, but I like to save several spots per location. Sometimes there's a really good Street View that's not easy or intuitive to notice from the 3d map and it's good to bookmark places like that, this makes it very easy to run up against the limit. (BTW you should mark on the main map where the street view pictures are like Wander does, it makes it infinitely easier to find locations, but that's a different issue)
