As for what I would suggest and why? I prefer Scrivener for projects where I have 10-30 separate files at hand, tables and stuff like that. I actually like to get it all done in Scrivener, export then finish in Word. Nimble is really convenient - less to learn, fewer distractions.
Should you buy it? Why not?
It isn't exactly expensive software, and it gets updated and supported.
Hmm. I see. For me Scrivener was cheap as it was given through NaNoWriMo one year. But I've not used it much since then & instead do most of my work in Open Office.
I do like the less distractions part. I also hate getting comfy with a prog, only finding out a year later it's dropped & I need to relearn all the features in a new program. As an artist, this is also why I stick to traditional over digital. XD
The biggest thing though is trials. Scrivener has 30 days. Steam's current refund policy is only 2 hours on trials, which really isn't enough for a writer imo. I may just have to spend time learning how to use the programs I already have.
Thadian, thank you for your honest thoughts. Helps a bunch. Happy writing.^^
