Can you edit game files or run a program to stop the game from pausing when alt tabing?

i wanted the game to keep running when i alt tab and do other stuff and not pause, wanted to know if there was a way to force it to stop pausing? thanks

if you deselect fullscreen mode then it wont pause when you want to view other things

thats not true, as soon as you click off it pauses it
