Full screen mode not working

Hello Peggle maniacs.
I just bought the game on Steam (got addicted many years ago).
When i click on the Play button it starts, although there is a strange bug...
Every time i select full screen mode in the option menu and exit from it to apply, the screen get messy for a 10th of a second (as it was trying to apply it) and then it remains windowed.
If i enter the menu again, the option is not ticked.
I can repeat and tick it, but it will never work.
Any way to fix it please?

Thank God i managed to resolve the problem in this way.
Go to the Peggle.exe directory, right click it and select Properties.
In the Compatibility Tab click on the "Change high DPI settings" button and tick the option "Override high DPI scaling behaviour", selecting the "Application" voice in the drop down menu. Exit selecting Apply.
In this way, the game window will start at its original size (smaller) but when the FS option will be selected in the game menu, it will apply, turning the game into full screen mode, although with a 4/3 ratio.

Anyone found a better solution? :)
