I've have been writing down all the enemy drops I can recently (though it's very rough, and I'm only noting rare items I've had trouble finding such as the Quiver, Thumb Ring and Spike Knuckle). Thinking about writing a guide or something, but in game implementation would be 1000 times better.
I actually recently realized there's also occasional rare environmental drop such as the barbed vine from the green root, in the Green Garden part of the Wizards Tower (which I believe I'd gotten in a previous file, before that garden existed... so maybe those drops were there all along and I didn't realize. I could have sworn another time I saw a clover spawn from one of the clover patches but thought it was probably the enemy that died with it.)
Perhaps you can point me in the direction of 2 items that are eluding me: The Boots and the Thief's Cloak. I really appreciate you responding to my previous message, helps a TON.
The boots are found in surface chests, but I'll add them as a chance item to the travelling merchant because they can be a bit hard to find. The cloak is from chests in the lava caves. Next update also has higher tier treasure goblins that will drop them too
Wow, that's great news! I can't wait for the new update. I've been watching this game grow and expand and I can't get enough of it!
A Bestiary with drop rates would be *chef's kiss* , I know personally I've had trouble remembering/ tracking down certain items and remembering where monsters are and what they can drop. Can't wait till you get it all sorted out in the future.
I always felt that the boots should be craftable like the leather gloves, using a similar leather based recipe. I've found tons of the winged boots from the treasure goblin I think? (I like that he has a ton of drops, and is a really fun little find down in the depths). but the boots themselves seem very rare depending on the file.
Thanks again for that key information, knowing exactly where to look is perfect.
Anyways, I love this game and I'm looking forward to doing a fresh run for your next update! (I must have restarted from zero 6 times already and it's still enjoyable, def has replayability for me. Separate character & world files would make getting certain items much simpler, but I understand why it's all one file, it could trivialize the early game especially when there have been changes that might be missed)
You're doing an excellent job on this game, as you can tell by how much I have to say about it
