The Chosen's Ring or w/e is also equal-ish to end game accessories, but it also has a decent attack boost. This, and the boost from the armors, is nice early game, but is a bit small end game, where your attack stats could be 1000+ the ring and armor might give 40 or 50.
The weapon changes, I have heard are more intended as weapon camos, making them look like things such as... Nepgear's Beam Zapper or Purple Heart's Guardian Goddess Blade, from the Neptunia games.
The weapon changes do have some stats, but the DLC page does not list this, or what they look like, and I have found VERY little about stats or looks on the internet, the only thing I found is that one of them has +100 P-ATK, but reduces M-ATK, P-DEF, and M-DEF by 15... or was it 20.
The hotsprings and swimwear are purely cosmetic, having no stats, and they go in the slot of your Costume, which normally only the girls can change, as the men normally have no alternate outfits.
The DLC Fairies are powerful, but take notable amounts of Exp to level up. They are intended for end game or NG+ when you compare their stats to other Fairies. They cannot be used for Godly Revival, so they give no advantage in that, and no assistance in accessing the top floors of Shukesoo's Tower.
In short: the equipment and Fairies can simply be not used if you don't want to overpower the game just yet. The other stuff is cosmetic.
Okay, so exactly what DLC's do I need to disable to not get them at the start of the game? I have no idea which DLC they are connected to?
I *JUST* want the cosmetic only for my first playthrough. I assume I can activate the armor and fairy stuff at a later time on my save-file?
Ultimate Armor and Additional Fairy packs are the ones that are comparable to end game gear and fairies.
Surpass Your Limits pack ONLY raises the level cap from 99 to 999, and opens up 3 dungeons meant for those levels. It gives you no items, no stats, nothing that could make things easier at the start of the game.
No idea about activation later, but it should be fine... maybe? If you are going this route: Disable Ultimate Armor and Additional Fairy, possibly disable Weapon Change Accessory.
Thank you so much! Really, thank you!
Now I'm off to start a new game! (Luckily I didn't get far (30~40 min tops).
