Recruiting apollonius failed

im already 49 and got emily's amulet but why apollonius didn't join my party also i beat the game once

If you were not lvl 40 by the time u had to fight apollonius a second time, he wouldn't join you.

Well, I got him pretty easily. I trained 18 levels higher, til everyone of my chars was like lv 41-42, got Emilys charm and then I beat him in 1 turn with my character's strongest magic skills. After that, you need to go to a specific dungeon to get a flower to heal him from a wound he got and after I healed him, he joined my party. Didn't do much. Just make sure your characters are 'all' like level 41 or 42. Some people say it won't work if you're above 40 'only' with Fang. It's my first playthrough and I got him quite more easily than I thought. Well, good luck for next time ;D

I just said he wouldn't join you then. I never said anything about ng+. Since I'm not there yet I do not know if it is posibble. But I think It is possible.

He can be recruited on any game regardless of whether it is new game + or your first run. I recruited him on all three playthroughs including the first one.

If you got Emilys charm and all your characters (the 3 charas of your main party) are at least Lv 41, nothing should go wrong. I don't think it's cause of an event. Just get your characters to 41 (you can even train on the Zazawa (?) plains for that) before you go to the event point and after you beat him, make your way through that cave on the world map to get something to heal him. After everything went well, they will be able to heal him and he'll join. That's how it worked for me.

Into who?
You don't meet Appolonius at the Pub, only after you recruited him.
You only need to meet his sister after you fought him the first time through an event in town and get the charm, then proceed with the story and get to at least Lv 41 with your main party members before you take on the event on the Zazawa plains. After that, you get that flower for him in the dgn, experience some events and then he'll join you if you meet the requirements I just mentioned. It's not that hard to accomplish.

It's a subevent early in the game when you bump into him but I think it was the inn not the pub. not sure.

It was at the pub. Even before you can accept side quests, there is a subevent where Fang bumps into him and then they both just say "..." twice or so and move on.

Didn't know that.
I dunno if that occured to me, but I don't think so.
And it is never mentioned somewhere that you need to meet him in that sub-event as well.
I'll stick with that it's only important to have aquired the charm from Emily and to be above Lv 40 (best Lv 41-42) with the main party when you face him in the plains. That did it for me.
