Moving mana is useless for me though, since I've given both Fang and Tiara resonance abilities that replenish SP.
And if Galdo's main use is stealing, then he honestly only seems useful for completing quests.
Guess I should just spec my third character as a support then. The biggest problem is the lack of WP a new character has. Just got Ethel and she only got 150 WP to start with. Fang already had his physical attack at 7, and the rest of his stats were all at 4, save magic attack which was at 5.
Tiara had everything at at least 5.
Not to mention attacks and skills bought.
So then I farm some WP to make Ethel useful (wanted her in my party since she's a QT3.14), but that makes Fang and Tiara stronger as well.
I can't even imagine what it's like on NG+. When you finally get Ethel then, she must be absolutely worthless.
I know that, but they don't gain exp while they're not in your party right?
So if you finish the game with Ethel at level 40, she'll stay 40 until you reach her again in ng+, and at that point you'll be way stronger than her.
That's not what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about characters who are not in your party at all. Pippin for example, right after you go back in time. Learning doesn't help, because you haven't met him yet, so he can't earn exp.
Ethel is a character you get really late-game, so when you go through the game again, you'll have earned a lot of levels before you even meet her, and then she'll be seriously underleveled.
Learning only works when they're actually in your party.
Which ability of Ethel are you talking about?
I've found that her skills are really strong, especially freezing meteor and glacial spikes. Never used assasinate though, the fact that it can take multiple turns and isn't usable on bosses if something that put me off.
Most other games' secret characters usually require pointless fetch quests/trash item collection.
