Why does this exist? :-)

From what I gather it's like "Neptunia Re;Birth 3" -- there used to be "Victory", it got remade and stuff added for Vita and finally PC, and that version is called "Re;Birth 3" (because similar stuff happened to the other two original Neptunia games).

So, as far as I can tell, "Fairy Fencer F" got enhanced and remade into "Advent Dark Force", like "Neptunia Victory" got enhanced and remade into "Re;Birth 3". Except that Neptunia Victory was never ported to PC (as far as I know), so only one of the Neptunias is on Steam.

So, is there any reason to get "Fairy Fencer F" instead of, or even in addition to "Advent Dark Force"?

There is no reason. Its better to get Advent Dark Force since it have more stuff that previous one Why it exist? cuz at that time IF was already porting their games to pc and ADF was ported later after it was made and came on ps4.

So I'm guessing this is just the money trap... or else IF would have taken it off the store to avoid confusing people like me.

Instead, they even put it on "IF sales" and similar events, next to all the other games. :-(

Yeah, that almost got me trapped on an earlier sale -- I thought ADF was a sequel :-)

Idk..
I bought it earlier b4 advent out.
But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is cliche on every aspect.
It start out promising then after the "Time travel" everything went downhill.
Tbh i am disappointed with the story.
It felt like 12 years old imagination.

Fang have quite personality before the time travel and Galdo is a bros.
Other than the hidden character and Ethel 2nd mid half felt like replaying over/dungeon backtracking.

They even said that the fury goddess revival isn't even necessary to ending.

It's just lol.

Agree totally, I got so bored I got a trainer and skipped dialoge scenes just after going back in time" (lazy programmers but they have your $ what do they care). officially do not care about these characters and vkiew it more like a test of endurance (3 attacks, rinse and repeat, what were they doing, coke and ♥♥♥♥♥♥?) Don't getme wrong, I love the game but am aware of how by the numbers it is

Just get Advent.
This one are pretty bland, dont waste your money unless you're interested to support the publisher like me including collecting cards or such.

Edit: This game is so cheap now, like only less than 50 cent if I sell the cards so I'll get both.

I know for my situation, I bought the game back in 2015 when it was on sale. Maybe 20 bucks or less. So maybe in 2018, 2019, or 2020 I might get the updated version.
