Loving but stoping, way to hard sometimes
All is said, I loved play this game, it's so nice and mysterious, the songs, and a good metroidvania with secrets and exploration, but some boss/monsters are way to strong (And I don't feel like I can do much, but farming over and over), so I prefer stop playing there before being angry, frustated and no longer love the game, which seems like a good idea to me. I played this game as a chill space exploration, not for challenge, I don't intend to tryhard fights on it. I know true alpha player will tell it's easy, just about strategy and get gud, so I'm glad for you.
Hope you discover all secrets in this planet and have fun. Good luck for people trying :er_heart:

It's a rather easy game IMO, but the stat scaling is not very intuitive, and if you made a really bad build, it can get a little unfair I guess, as the enemies scale with every ship part you deliver, so if your DPS sucks things can get really spongy.

Basically, you want to prioritize Gunpower when leveling up, followed by Resolve (maybe go for 50-50 in both). Don't put any points into Vigor at all, it's never worth it. Moreover, you need to do Mutt's quest ASAP (it becomes available after delivering 1 ship part, he should appear right outside the crash site's eastern exit), the reward is Heart of Fire which is a module that gives +Suit Level to your Gunpower, it's a massive DPS boost. Note that the quest is missable, it becomes unavailable after delivering 4 parts (or maybe even 3, not sure).

Apart from that, don't use any heat reducing modules, just spam rockets, don't bother with the basic blaster, and once you run out of energy just spam the Painwheel melee weapon, it deals ridiculous damage when you're overheated and it's still practically a ranged weapon, so not risky to use at all.

The bug gun (Skab Device) was apparently insanely broken in the release version but has since been nerfed. It's still good for a couple bosses like the Ogre due to its high DOT, but it's weaker than the rockets when you just need some quick burst damage.

I really don't understand why they went with the whole souls like approach when scaling and stats are just this bad. In the beginning the robot that gives the plasma shot I think it was, it was just completely unfun and rather boring to fight, well kite to the left since it's shots were annoying to deal with and the ONLY damage worth was 2 maybe 3 swings of melee since the gun did a whopping 2 damage.

I went pure Resolve and got all of my stats from seeds and modules; going for damage from Gunpowder/Vigor is moot since you need an enormous stat lead in order to meaningfully change the hits to kill an enemy, and higher hp/mp/stamina gives you more leeway to respond to whatever a boss is doing, especially when enemies frequently have fast attacks that force you away from them.
More MP means more missiles means more consistency at range and also easy overheat to get bonus damage out of melee. More stamina means more melee and movement in a pinch. More HP means an easier time managing the Berserk module once you find it since it activates once you've lost a flat amount of health, not a percentage, and with that on you can pretty much play how you want without being explicitly punished by the heat system.

After beating the game, I cheated for a ridiculous amount of Gunpowder levels at the start of the game and found that it barely helped at all. It's good to get a couple levels early before you get modules, but what matters most is that you are leveling up at all since that controls how many you can equip.
