Are We Suppose to Kill The Giant Woman?

Ok, spoiler tag time... Big explain, by the way.


So... I planed a strategy to kill her, and it's functional, it works, my problem is RNG. The first thing we must do is to save right before entering this new area, then we rush all the way to the robot with the ice gun (do NOT fight her yet), the ice gun is extremely effective against her, do a lot of damage. After collecting the ice guy, we DIE. We die because this will respawn us in the save area above (with a little less HP) and then we can SAVE up there with ice gun without fighting her.

Now we can go to the upper area and fight her the first time, it's utterly important that we fight her at the left side of this area or else she will leave too soon, and we need to do around 20% or more damage to her here, or we won't be able to kill her after...

Now we proceed to the second area that we fight her (area with the big hand guy). Differently from the first area, if we fight her here and stay for a while after she leaves, she'll go down and fight again two extra times, this means we can fight against her 4 times (1 outside, 3 inside), this is enough time to kill her.

The thing is... Even doing everything "perfectly" sometimes she leaves too soon when fighting her the third time inside, disabling out possibility to kill her (at least in my situation with the damage that I have)... Thus my question, are we suppose to kill her here or we'll fight her again at some point? It looks like we SHOULDN'T kill her now because she suppose to appear only twice, and we don't have enough damage to kill her in two fights.

I didn't manage to kill her yet, but I know I can do it if I do big damage to hear (20%) and if she appear to fight against me 2 extra times in the inside area (and, of course, stay long enough to receive big damage)... But I feel I shouldn't do it, and it feels I'm breaking the progress of the game, should I try to kill her, or, eventually, she will appear again, and I can break the sequence or something?.

Yes you can kill her there, she is an optional boss and have her own specific mechanics of leaving the fight, but she is entirely optional.
If you want her to show up again you can take the fast route and turn off the suit. She will show up again but she will drop right on top of you

Oh, I didn't know we could force like that, thanks, it will make my life easier. And thanks to tell me that, I know a lot of games that makes this mechanic of a single boss fighting multiple times, so I didn't know if I should or no kill her at that moment.

Edit: Does this method work in the outside area, or just in the inside area? Or both?

Just leave the room (the big open room above the save point where she first appears) and re-enter, she will respawn most of the time, if not leave again and re-enter

I left beating this boss until the end of the game but I did have some issues with it. In my first attempt I damaged her a lot at the first arena, then went to the second arena and died. In the second attempt I fought her at the first arena again, but she didn't take any damage from my attacks. I had the health bar module equipped, and my attacks showed damage being inflicted, but her health bar didn't go down at all, and when I went to the second arena she was still at full health, and only attacking her there did her health start going down. Then I went back to the first arena and she showed up again and I was able to damage her more. Then I went to the third arena, and she was screaming every few seconds, but wouldn't actually spawn over several minutes and exiting and re-entering the room a few times. Then I opened the map menu... and she suddenly dropped on top of me.

I didn't think to try this. Either way the boss seems a bit buggy.

Just quit to title to fast travel to the last save point you rested at, it works exactly the same as in Hollow Knight.

But if you close the game you won't save your progression, it's the same as trying for the first time, which ISN'T my strategy.
