How is it compared to The Talos Principle?
Been playing The Talos Principle lately and its at the top of my FPS Puzzle/exploration list right now :)

So how is this compared to it. Better puzzles, better dialogue, better anything?
Or should I just step away from this? :D

Mmm.

At present I've played 30 minutes and apparently have done half the chapters already. Of course I expect the later puzzles to be more challenging.

It took me around 26 hours to completely finish The Talos Principle but thats from an experienced studio - at the moment I think Pneuma is overpriced for what it is but still an enjoyable diversion for a few hours.

The ending is better, but the length is shorter. A few of the puzzles rival Talos but not all of them.

Thanks for the replies - I think I'll grab Pneuma later then :D
Yeah it looks really nice, and feels nie, but price is a bit high for what it offers. Saved for future purchase though

I'm roughly halfway through Pneuma and if you want my honest opinion it doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Talos Principle. The price point of Pneuma is ridiculous. I'm glad I bought it at 75% off, because frankly £4 should be the base price for this. It is a very average game indeed.

EDIT: Now that I have completed it, I'd say the game is slightly better than I thought when I wrote this comment. Levels 5 and 6 are actually pretty good..

The Talos Principle is excellent and is definitely worth playing as well as Pneuma! They have two very different story lines and are developed by two vastly different developers.

Both have their merits!

Though these games have been created by two separate developers; each game explores philosphical concepts and ideas conscerning relgion and what it means to be living and concious.

Though the puzzles are MUCH harder in the Talos Principle, I found that both games were interesting enough for me to follow and enjoy regardless of puzzle difficulty. If your only looking for a game with difficult puzzles, then I do not believe you will find that gameplay in Pneuma Breath of life; though there are puzzles, the game seems more centered around explaining philosphical explinations by allowing you to understand the given point a little further by solving each puzzle... whereas the Talos principle feels more like direct puzzles with philiosophical debates mixed in... For the Talos principle, picture Portal 2 with a professor explaining the meaning of life in the background while you study how to push boxes around with a fan...lol.. On the other hand, each of the puzzles in Pneuma are directly created and derived for the purpose of further explaining the given point...

If you enjoyed Portal 2, you'd love Talos Principle... If you enjoy the furthering of philosophical discussion and debate... you'll love Pneuma... Both games are similar, but at the same time, they are nearly nothing alike considering the puzzles, story and gamplay are not really at all similar... Other than both games exploring relgious ideas, philosophy and puzzles (which are not similar to one another), the two titles/games are completely differen't.

Just to mention, I do not currently own both of these games, but I have played both of them from top to finish quite thoroughly on a differen't account which is not my own. Even though I've played both games all the way through, because I enjoyed them extensively, I myself am still thinking of getting these games while the sale is active. I mean, what is it? like $12-13 for both games right now? I mean wow...

Update; I now own both titles. I purchased them not soon after writing the post in december, but did not update. I only thought it relevant since I mentioned that I did not own the games; but I now do. Pick these games up on sale, and as long as you enjoy philosophical dicussion as well as puzzles, these games are great.

Talos wins hands-down. Pneuma is not even in the same league.
