Want to create and import images
I just got the software today (full +100 plus package), and want to do some ancient world stuff, with scrolls and togas, Corinthian pillars....

I know how to draw in Microsoft Paint. My drawling skills are primitive, but think I can pull this off for this sort of software.

So for 2-D maps, can I draw images on MS Paint, and then import it to my menu options, and post it in the same way I can do walls and trees?

How do I know how to scale this stuff? I don't want to make a Greek guy in a toga, and discover he is 50 feet tall. Do I make 5-6 versions of the character, one for each side, and jumping?

Is MS Paint doable, or should I be using some other software? I simply put don't know how to use GIMP, tried in the past. This gaming engine doesn't seem to require the most advanced graphics though.

Microsoft Paint is fine. We also have a built-in Graphics Editor you can use too if that's easier for you. As for your question on scale, it might be a good idea to check out our "For Artists" Wiki page to learn about the different types of graphics you can create, their scale, supported file formats, etc. https://www.engine001.com/wiki/art

Where is the built in graphics editor located? I don't see anything like that.

Also on the main site, I read it is being shut down, this forum will be left. I don't know how or even if steam users can use resources from it. Will you make a effort to preserve that stuff as a free user made DLC, or off site library?

I can't answer the question about the website, as I am unsure. However, to access the built in graphics editor:

Go to Tools > Options, and on the right side make sure the checkbox for "Use Built-In Editor" is checked

Now, anywhere that allows you to pick a graphic (Tileset editor, sprite editor, item editor, etc) right-click the box, and click "Edit" - This should automatically open up the built-in editor.
If you dislike the editor, you can always go back into the options menu and uncheck the check box (Which will revert to your default editor for your PC)

So I can create tile in the built in editor, like I made a red and grey tile in the editor, but they come out blue with black borders. So I am guessing I am missing something obvious I should be doing, if you have them as one color and come out completely different later.

Second, I noticed when I made a new map, the tiles I made that keep coming out the wrong color are not available, which is not good if I plan on recycling them and find I gotta remake them over and over and over again. How do I get a image made in the editor into any map I want without literally going back to the drawling boards?

Hmm, I can't reproduce the issue with the blue/black boarders... unless you are talking about the checkerboard pattern behind my horrible smiley face I drew, in which case that resembles transparency:

As well, the tileset should be in the map editor. If you only have one tile in the tileset it may be hard to see, but here is where you'd select your tile (Assuming it was a ground tile)
