Did the Seed System change?

I've never really played around with Superplay and Seeds.
But I recently found a very nice Seed to attempt the Ultrawarrior Achievement with the Fortress ship. I did kill the Mothership on that attempt, but got greedy and picked up a weapon on the way, that I still needed to unlock in Arena. I never fired it, but I didn't get the Achivement anyway. Was to be expected.

Anyway, I was trying to insert the Seed into the Superplay. But I can't possibly input a 9 Digit combination into a system, where I can only move 100 steps at a time?!
Entering number keys didn't seem to work.

Am I missing something with the Seed System?

I just added keyboard support so seed input will be easier after the next patch.
We should have done that before. :)

I hope that the seed value will be displayed on the playing screen or game over screen during Superplay.
(I know that it will be displayed while paused)

As far as I know, the Seed will be displayed when pausing during your run, and in the leaderboards. If you find your run in there, you can see the Seed, just like you can see everyone else's on there.
But I don't think it's displayed on death.
