Can't Switch Airframes

So I got the glass Airframe, I am not experienced enough at the game to use this thing. I want to switch airframes but since I have started the game the airframe menu is dark and won't let me select it. Is this bugged and I have to restart the game?

I'm getting the same issue. I'd like to switch back to the lotus seed frame, but there's no way to select from the menu, as the icon is greyed out.

Sadly not! For me at least, when I scroll through the menu, the airframe icon does not light up to yellow, cannot be selected, and cannot even be hilighted. The only way to change airframes is to find all the relic pieces of a new one and give it to the archeologist.

I did a little test and I saw that we had this bug when we have more than one airframe, it's when we have another airframe than the button to change the airframe become dark gray (and yes i also have this bug: c)

I'm not experiencing this, but just as a note to OP, please make sure you're free-flying in the air when trying to switch airframes, it wont let you switch if you're underwater, if you're in one of the little stopping bubbles, or if you're talking to the Archaeologist (your boat friend)

Thanks for the clarification! I didn't think to try switching while I was in the air, as my instinct was that you could only switch while stationary. I'm glad it's not a bug, and is more a case of misreading the games mechanics.

I ran into this same issue. I wish that the disabled menu item for the airframe would still let you hover over it and it told you "you can only open this when in the air" or something...
