The Sinking Ship - Trap Disarm Bug

On my third attempt to play this game without the story line going to complete sh!t because of all the bugs, I decided to go a different direction with The Sinking Ship quest. Big mistake. Here is the set up: For once I killed the two you meet at the beginning because I called them out for lying. As a result, the lower levels were open for me to explore. I found Gobbet coming out of the vent. We go talk to Cadmus. I did not tell him I was going to sink the ship, I told him we'd gather support for a mutiny. I ask him about the trap at the end of the hall. He tells me Yasmin designed it. I talk to Yasmin with Gobbet in my party and ask her about the trap. She tells me how to disarm it. I go to disarm the trap. Just like my previous playthrough's Gobbet mentions that she hopes Yasmin knows what she's talking about. I "disarm" the trap using her instructions. Now I cannot get past this room. The trap springs every sigle time. I have tried different diallogue choices with Cadmus and Yasmin, and still cannot get past the trap even after DISARMING IT! Now I have to restart this entire mission because there is currently no way past the trap. Not sure if the order of events I proceeded through for this mission has anything to do with why I am stuck, but figured I would provide as much info as possible. If this is a design flaw i.e., because I triggered certain events now the level is broken, then that design flaw needs to be addressed as we the players are unaware of weird little triggers and rare happenstances that cause these issues in the first place.

Restarted level, repeated actions from my first playthrough (when the trap didn't bug out), got past the trap, now the transition to the bottom level is broken. *facepalm*

Reloaded last save after level restart, now I cannot get past the trap again. Wow...

I had this ptoblem. You get a dialogue when you first walk in the room. THEN you have to mess with the machine after the dialogue.

What's happening is that you're not turning off the trap, then glitching past it. You can't transition because you can't get past the trap because it isn't off yet... Makes sense?

After the first dialogue about Yasmin's directions being awesome, inspect the machine AGAIN and disable it.
