Duncan's Subdue ability not showing
I've had this problem through multiple update of the game, but after the intro mission with Duncan, the subdue ability is missing from his action bars for the rest of the game. I've tried reloads, rewinds, not changing any of his gear, changing all of his gear... nothing. It's the strangest thing because I didn't find anybody else reporting that problem.

if you give him a piece of armor, the "Y" vanishes.

as to why? i don't know! but after roughly 1 hour of trial and error, i dare to say, that's the reason.

that will be the next achievement ;-)

I had this problem as well. He had it in the beginning and then it just vanished. No idea why.

I appear to have this too. I went to get the achievement and can't find any subdue ability on him

I have the same problem as Artemis... Any suggestions?

All I can suggest is that you make sure you have the "Y" menu (as opposed to "E" Equipment or "Q" spells) selected on the right; the skill should then be there on the far right (both relevant icons circled in red below):

in Act II, I've verified this works with either Unarmed, his unremovable default gun, or the Shock Glove (so presumably any other provided weapon) selected.

The "Y" vanishes after the "visit Bao"-mission.

huh. it's not as simple as the fact that he's got four weapon slots filled there?
PolarisAT Mar 1, 2018 @ 3:56pm
nope, it's not. i tried with standard equipment (hands and semopal) and more guns, on level 1 and 2 - to no avail

then I've got no more ideas, sorry.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

lol, I actually thought of that but didn't mention it for 2 reasons:

1. that screenshot is from one of the first real runs (the one I do first), and I assumed you wouldn't have spent the cash at that point.

2. no armour is linked to skills in any way in HK!

anyway, good job working that out; I bet it applies to other character's skills as well (they're probably attached to the character's built-in outfit or something)
