I assume you can get past the front desk without a fight? no other charisma is needed or checked for. Oh and why no drones? Racter requests to come on this mission and makes the whole thing easier, even without everything can be done with a decker. Note also I have only run this mission quiet.
Ground floor you can grab some codes from a computer in a bigger room, makes decking faster and easier. you can then deck for some codes and sending away the guards i think? i hit the guard schduleing and found the elevater guys missing after, never says what it does otherwise. (with Ractor's drone you can shut ff the elevator and take the stairs.)
On the lab floor you can grab a door code from the comuter in the middle for an office, that office has the door code for the next door office. Decking on this floor is pointless as it links to the same network from below and allows you to shut off the gas after it starts. NOTE: you can not bluff past the guards here, you can deal with them though, read an email on the central comp and it tells you the blast doors in the security staion are strangly linked to the blast doors in the laser test room in the middle. Close them using the console next to the northeast door of the center room. you can now walts past the guard station no issue, here is where you run into the other runner team, with Ractor you get the card key for the safe automatically but cant speak for if you do not have Ractor. Here the gas starts, you can either use a drone (Ractor) to shut off each gas port or deck in from the guard station. I usually only shut off 2 with a drone and leave. At this point its a fight to the elevator and out.
Basement floor is so easy, go through the doors and do not go north east here, you can skip 3 guys and 4 dogs, no items to pick from here either. I forgot the check but going through the doors faces you with a generater, you can shut it off with a skill check or Ractor. this shuts off a few things including deffence turrets in the last room which has 3 guys in it blow them to hell with AOE like Izzy's granade launcher or Gobbets gas clowd before they get a turn to move for an easy win. One last surprise right at the end, fight or talk past but this squad of 4 is so i easy i teart them apart just for the luls.
to specifically address the door you are talking about i have never found it locked. To repeat myself earlier i always go quiet though and those guards in particular require no skill check to pass, and in order to pass require them to not see you at all. Talking and Charisma just helps you turn around without a fight in order to try again with some other method. They will never let you past with any skill check.
And no, I can't get past the front desk without a fight. My options all lead to the receptionist telling me basically to get lost.
Got the safe content, but picking up the prototype afterwards in combat rounds -> broken.
