i'm pretty sure cyberweapons don't work with adept skills though.
I believe that the hand razors and cyber spurs both count as melee weapons, for the purposes of Qui Casting. Shock hands MIGHT count as an unarmed weapon, though. The monofilament whip definitely counts as a ranged weapon.
Unarmed has it's own tree of abilities, but I had decent unarmed and killing hands this time through with my gun-fu adept. For some reason he just cannot land a punch for the life of him at around 5 unarmed, so I doubled down on his pistols. I so wish adepts could use their ability boosts towards other weapons like in PnP. That character I played way back was utterly sick, killing hands, unarmed specializations, 10 pistols... but alas, PC Shadowrun is what it is.
