Okay, I have to ask before I rip my hair out. Just how do you hack these things? And explain it to me like you're talking to an idiot please, because apparently I am one.

well I've only done one, but what i figured is the keypad on the right is a memory game. each correct (like simple simon) each correct bit you complete increases your time, then the top field briefly displays a correct character and you must select the matching sequence of images from the list underneath.

Yeah, I figured out the numpad part.. It's the second part that I can't, for the life of me, get. I peeked at it once for a while, waited for it to show the first character in the line, then clicked that same character.. And the screen flashed red and went "You done goofed son".

pictures that cycle across the top will match up to one of the patterns on the bottom. The trick is to wait for it to reveal 2 of the images, and match them up to the possible ones on the bottom, then wait as others are revealed and eliminate them as they go finally picking the matching one.

You are trying to match the entire pattern not a single image.

You only get certain characters revealed based on how well you did on the keypad minigame.

Like, if you get all 10, it'll show the entire sequence (in breaks of static). But if you only get like, 5? It'll only show you half of them and you have to intuit/guess.

each sequence of 4 characters is one entry, you dont select the character but identify the string that matches

Oh christ, -thank you-. I was this close to being at my wit's end.

I also thank you, that second half of the puzzle just didn't click to me at all either. That's one of the pieces of the games I feel NEEDED a brief tutorial.

did you expect anyone to understand something from that?

Well here's he sure took the long way to simply state "Find the sequence of glyphs that matches the sequence on the top" but it works.
