For anyone who hasn't tried it: take Gaichu along to the party.

For the record, this is a terrible idea, and probably requires a charisma of 3 to pull off successfully, but is -incredibly- funny.

You can get through the door by threatening to have Gaichu bite the guard, and he just goes "It's been known to happen..." XD

Spoilers: taking Gaichu for that mission is one of the prerequisites of an major event that impacts the final portion of the game. So it's a VERY good idea actually.

Dammit, I didn't pay attention again: Which major event? I had Gaichu on my team, but can't remember which important event he might have triggered.

You have to let Ku Feng live. And you have to have Gaichu be her teacher. And she'll come back to help you during the final assault on Walled City.

I hadn't even recruited Gaichu until after that mission, but I still had Ku Feng join me in Walled City.

Ah okay. They have a special dialogue that made it seem like Gaichu's lessons was the reason that happened.

For obvisious reasons I had Gaichu not in that mission, still he did became the trainer of Ku Feng and she joined me in the walled city, though she bailed out right before we met the queen. Did not feel ready for it.

Have Duncan Wu with you when you confront Ku Feng and defeat her; he'll help train her. It's not his idea, nor does he seem to like it, but he'll do it.

This is confusing. The part I wasn't paying attention to was that anyone trains her and that this is important for her joining you later. To me it seemed like she was just returning a favor. From what I recall I also didn't build up too much of a friendship with her - I essentially just said "You're a vampire, that's cool, so I let you live" and then we went different ways until the final encounter.

For even more fun, take Gaichu to DeckCon. You'll thank me later.

Her convo with Gaichu was essentially along the lines of how Gaichu taught her that you can still be human even tho you're a monster now; and for Gaichu, he didn't want to teach her at first at first but during the lesson discovered that she was trustworthy. I can't comment on the other scenarios but it made it looked like all those little development cumulated to her rediscovering her humanity.

That's inline with her character though. She was lying and play tough with you. Just like she did when you first met. You can even call her bluff.

She claims to have come to slay a demon king but she simply couldn't stand to watch the suffering any longer. She's the queen of Repulse Bay, where the biggest threat to her safety is a jealous trophy wife. She's not cut out for a fight like this.

It's important to know what Repulse Bay is. It's basically the equivalant of Beverley Hills in HK. That's an important detail that should have been made clear in order to gain an understanding of Ku Feng's character.

Gaichu nor Duncan is required for any event involving Ku Feng. Just treat her kindly and she'll return the favor.

Gaichu is required to get an achievement with her however.
