Is Prosperity Tower impossible to fully stealth without dumping 7 karma into Charisma?
Getting around require multiple etiquettes ranging from Security, Coporate, and Academics. Also multiple bluff checks against your Charisma. The basement floor is easy enough to circumvent to reach the security node without confrontation, and so is the Floor23, but only if you dumped a lot of karma into Charisma. But theThaumaturgical lab there doesn't seem to be way to access the security room without alerting the guards?

not sure if there is a charisma check at all for that one; if you're a mage, or have the academic etiquette you can start a conversation with the lab technician, and provided you survive the wall of text he buries you in you can then open the security room fairly easily.

Yup. You can only do the Thaumaturgical Research floor without combat if you happen to be a caster, or if you have Academic as one of your Etiquettes. Otherwise you'll need to borrow one of the guards' keycards, using judicious applications of violence.

From what I'm hearing, violence is probably safer, anyway. Apparently there's a bug that occasionally traps people in the security room forever, if they do manage to get in there non-violently.

I thought he gives you a code that allows you to release a large creature to use as a diversion. I diverted it to the head's office to get her to leave the room. Otherwise if you attempt to interact with anything in there while she's there she calls security.

I believe you can also send it into the lab where the researcher was, in which case he'll call security, and they'll rush out to fight it. That gives you a chance to get into the Security Room. I think that's the only way to get in there without attacking the guards yourself - though violence is still involved.

Unless you're going for the achievement to fully explore the Prosperity Tower network, the minimum requirements to ghost it are Charisma 6 and one of etiquette academic, spellcasting 6 and conjuring 6. Basically:

Enter via the loading dock, go to subbasement and charm the maintenance chief. Get maintenance uniforms, sabotage the fan to access security and jack in for the first lab code and the med bay code. Loot the med bay then go to Finance. Visit the VP, accept his request and jack in for the data Kindly wants. Skip the security office and go to Thaumaturgy. Charm the researcher for his code, send the test subject to his room to get a security response and then enter security to jack in for the second lab code and the armoury code. Loot the armoury and leave for the lab.

This is the only way i've discovered to get into the security room without going loud.

Strangely enough, on my fourth or so run when I was going for the no stone unturned achievement, I did exactly this and THEN went loud after hacking security. Didn't even have to hack a panel to shut it off. not sure if bug.

Well my initial point was that builds that barely invested into Charisma and chosen the wrong etiquette are going to have very hard time advancing through this section. Somehow I missed getting the delivery entrance option, and botched the first security check in the lobby my first playtrough and ended up fighting my entire way through the tower.

Well, I dunno if they'd really have a hard time. Generally, if someone didn't invest much into Charisma, it's because they used those points toward combat skills. As such, they'd probably feel more comfortable smashing their way through everything anyway. :)

Is there a way to get the no stone unturned achievement and stay stealthed/quiet?

So far it looks like it's one or the other on the thaumatergical lab floor since you can keep stealth by sending the beast after the head office, and then convince her to leave while you clean up, but that doesn't net you a secutiry keypass for that floor that I've found.

And if you send the beast into the lab area the security guys rush out to help deal with it and leave the door open for you, but then any interaction in the VP office causes the lady to run for security.

So kind of at a cunundrum here on that front.

Doesn't seem that way, no. Unfortunately, each floor of the Prosperity Tower seems built around a very specific set of requirements if you want to get into the security room as non-violently as possible.

If you want to get everything, then it seems that combat is essentially mandatory.

Do you get a karma bonus if you enter lab 12 without alerting anyone?

Actually the only place you need 7 charisma in Properity Tower is the Finance floor. You're run into a worker who will give you an errand to run, after which she'll give you the key card to security room. In there you need 7 charisma for the guards to not attack you. You can then disable the alarm.

After you do that, if you want go to the VP and attack him. The alarm will not be raised. You'll be able to loot from his corpse acess card to the core systems, where you'll receive $2000 in addition to other mission items. If you coorperate with him otherwise you won't be able to get the $2000.

They changed the requirements in one of the last patches ... on the floor with the thaumaturgical lab you need now Charisma 8 without maintenance uniform and Charisma 7 with maintenance uniform the get past the guards at the elevator. On my first playthrough (before the patches) i needed only Charisma 6 to get past them.

That is correct it allow you to hack her vomputer and loot her spells without causing her to call security, if you pose as the maintenance and tell her all the less glamorous details about how you plan on cleaning that thing out her study.

Then she will leave the room that is correct.

I'll admit, when I saw that one of the dialogue options with her was "What's that smell?", I thought a potential solution would be to detonate the toxic gas barrels out in the hallway. Thought I was being SO clever, at least until I realized it didn't work.

Oh well. ;)
