From what I'm hearing, violence is probably safer, anyway. Apparently there's a bug that occasionally traps people in the security room forever, if they do manage to get in there non-violently.
I believe you can also send it into the lab where the researcher was, in which case he'll call security, and they'll rush out to fight it. That gives you a chance to get into the Security Room. I think that's the only way to get in there without attacking the guards yourself - though violence is still involved.
Enter via the loading dock, go to subbasement and charm the maintenance chief. Get maintenance uniforms, sabotage the fan to access security and jack in for the first lab code and the med bay code. Loot the med bay then go to Finance. Visit the VP, accept his request and jack in for the data Kindly wants. Skip the security office and go to Thaumaturgy. Charm the researcher for his code, send the test subject to his room to get a security response and then enter security to jack in for the second lab code and the armoury code. Loot the armoury and leave for the lab.
This is the only way i've discovered to get into the security room without going loud.
Strangely enough, on my fourth or so run when I was going for the no stone unturned achievement, I did exactly this and THEN went loud after hacking security. Didn't even have to hack a panel to shut it off. not sure if bug.
Well, I dunno if they'd really have a hard time. Generally, if someone didn't invest much into Charisma, it's because they used those points toward combat skills. As such, they'd probably feel more comfortable smashing their way through everything anyway. :)
So far it looks like it's one or the other on the thaumatergical lab floor since you can keep stealth by sending the beast after the head office, and then convince her to leave while you clean up, but that doesn't net you a secutiry keypass for that floor that I've found.
And if you send the beast into the lab area the security guys rush out to help deal with it and leave the door open for you, but then any interaction in the VP office causes the lady to run for security.
So kind of at a cunundrum here on that front.
Doesn't seem that way, no. Unfortunately, each floor of the Prosperity Tower seems built around a very specific set of requirements if you want to get into the security room as non-violently as possible.
If you want to get everything, then it seems that combat is essentially mandatory.
After you do that, if you want go to the VP and attack him. The alarm will not be raised. You'll be able to loot from his corpse acess card to the core systems, where you'll receive $2000 in addition to other mission items. If you coorperate with him otherwise you won't be able to get the $2000.
That is correct it allow you to hack her vomputer and loot her spells without causing her to call security, if you pose as the maintenance and tell her all the less glamorous details about how you plan on cleaning that thing out her study.
Then she will leave the room that is correct.
I'll admit, when I saw that one of the dialogue options with her was "What's that smell?", I thought a potential solution would be to detonate the toxic gas barrels out in the hallway. Thought I was being SO clever, at least until I realized it didn't work.
Oh well. ;)
