That's not the issue. Apparently he's saying that he somehow managed to start the mission without bringing along either Gobbet or Is0bel, and because he doesn't have magic or decking skills on his character, it's impossible for him to proceed.
It shouldn't be possible to launch the mission without bringing any companions, but if that's what happened, then he's apparently stumbled onto a bug of some sort.
Ok, there are five solutions to this level. Two of them are violent, 3 non-violent.
1) Kill the guards.
2) Talk your way past the guards. Requires Charisma 3+ and etiquette Gang
3) Have a decker hack the first locked door underground, enter the matrix in the next room and unlock the hatck to climb up into Bao's base. Requires either the MC being a decker or having Is0bel in the party.
4) Have the ghost kill the guards. Requires either the MC being a shaman or having Gobbet in the party.
5) Get the key code to the second underground door off the ghost. Requires same as above.
I rolled a Shaman for this example, to show both routes into the Lotus Den without firing a shot.
First, there's the select runner screen at the beginning of the mission. As the text reads, I have one extra slot, and it HAS to be Gobbet or Is0bel. I cannot remove Duncan.

This run, I took Is0bel. If for whatever reason you somehow passed this point without her or Gobbet, Load or 'rewind' an earlier save.

The first route is the Spiritual Route. You have to play a Shaman or have Gobbet in your party to see the interactable Object. It's hidden just northwest of the Yellow Lotus guards in the market place.

Be compassionate! The Code the ghost will give you will unlock one of the downstairs doors. Alternatively, you can convince the ghost to attack the guards.
Next, is the Decking route. Here is the door that Is0bel can hack.

This is the location of the door which can be 'forced' open by a Decker or Is0bel.
When you approach the door with Is0bel, an extra option will be available to use her skill. Most Crew can be 'tagged in' this way. Below shows the extra conversation option.

Inside will be a sealed hatch, which can be opened by jacking into the terminal and taking your first walk into the Matrix!
Hopefully this should be enough to get you started on one of the two routes into the Lotus Den without killing Yellow Lotus members.
Well I certaintly do apperciate this. I been playing the game for a total of four hours. I haven't gotten past this past. I would have likely not played the game again. I saw the ghost on my playthrough I wasn't able to talk to him. When it said pick your compaions. I noticed there was a slot missing. I didn't see any free people to pick from though. I'm going to try this on my playthrough.
