also iirc there were gaps in what was avalible in dead mans switch NPC companion wise, and in dragonfall you were sorta defaulted into glory, eiger, and deitreich, though there was blitz he sucked.
Also his skill wont be as high as yours, and im on bloodline now in dragonfall, but i recall some fairly high checks of 7 or so, and blitz is like 5.
i cant recall what they were, i think something to do with drones.
Actually by the end stretch of the game, Blitz was a pretty awesome decker. It just takes him longer than the rest of the crew to get his act together...
The real issue was that there were several side missions where you simply couldn't bring him along...
Edit: Forgot the trial run, that one actually has two decking options you'd miss out of, but I wouldn't call that "much".
I never had problems with him in that regard... actually, in Bloodlines, Blitz is slightly superior to the PC because usually by that point he has the best deck availalbe, while the PC is still limited to third tier or worse.
3 Summoning, 1 Conjuring (to unlock both the +Charisma fetishes and the astral perception options) would do. And you can still chrome yourself to the gills if you like, so long as you aren't expecting to cast any spells.
Sorry, didn't see you there... there was also the 'audition' mission for Luca and the Black Lodge, where a Decker would have several options othe characters would not, including the chance to make some extra cash and completly avoid any combat on the way out.
Edit: Also the first decking options just opens two doors, one of which you can open another way, and the second room only has the other decking option that gets you some cash, so that one possibility to get some nuyen is really all you miss out on.
True, that isn't much ^^
its crazy how easy it can be to miss things like that.
so other than 3 summon 1 conjure i could go fully chromed street sam deathmachine and not miss out on a bunch of skill options?
would i have enough karma to go into Charisma as well? ettiqutes and such are nice to have, and are any of the ettiqueqs used alot more than others? So far there was only one time Shadowrunner has been useful in dragonfall, Security and Street have came up alot.
I sadly can't answer your HK question however since I haven't finished the game yet myself, sorry.
