Ku Feng not appearing, reasons?
Spoilers ahead, you've been warned.

So, you are supposed to meet Ku Feng right after entering the Walled City in The City of Death final mission if you let her alive in the Neville Ma quest. She joins you, and if you also have Gaichu in your group, you unlock the Monster Squad achievement.

Does anyone know of a reason for her not appearing in the Walled City? I let her go earlier, but she's nowhere to be found, blocking me from getting Monster Squad (and Wouldn't Want to be that Guy also...), and it's really annoying.

During the Neville Ma questline, you should not only spare her life but also offer her to "reach her full potential", after which Gaichu (if you have him on the team - I haven't tried otherwise) reluctantly agrees to teach her about being undead et cetera. Only after that she appears at the final quest in the Walled City.

Hmmm, I read in various guides and threads that you don't actually need to teach her to have her show up in the final mission (by the way, you can have Wu do the teaching, too), it only changes what she says there. Or maybe THAT was a bug and they corrected it?
Either way, it seems like I'm screwed.

I went for "Monster Squad" achievement on my 3rd playthrough and I opted for a guideline that necessitated that 1) Gaichu should be at Neville Ma blackmail mission; 2) You promise her "realise her full potential"; 3) Bring Gaichu to the last mission. After that, Ku Feng doesn't actually appear as a recruitable character at the start of the mission either - she pops up at the entrance of the inner gates of the Walled City, where there are some Tsang security guards (I think that's the place where you can rig the Tsang turrets). She walks up to their leader and after a brief exchange of words, rips her throat off. She then sticks around until you proceed to the Prosperity chamber. She then states that she finds it futile to combat the Yama King and leaves.
I can confirm bringing Gaichu to Neville Ma mission is NOT necessary.

Yea, I just watched a video of the Walled City meeting with Ku Feng.
My only idea is that you have to tell her you "bring her to her full potential", but you don't need anyone to teach her really. I think I said something else to her, and thus she won't appear.
Damn. And I was so close to 100% achievements...

On a side note, if you don't bring Gaichu on the Neville Ma mission you'll miss out on 1 karma. Yeah, I'm trying to collect 'em all.

This is false. You don't need Gaichu for that 1 karma. There are other ways of getting it.

For the particular karma point he was talking about, yes you need Gaichu. The exact point he is talking about is when the door guard freaks out about Gaichu's appearance and you pretty much tell him he's "In costume for some show". Though I believe that point is just an alternate route to obtaining the karma for talking your way past that guard, I think it's the funniest way of earning it.

One of the best parts of the game (and having Gaichu along) is specifically the audacious BS the MC comes up with to get him into places.

Ugh. I'm pretty sure I did that, but I haven't found her in the Walled City yet.

Edit: Never mind, there she is :D At the end of the first area she shows up.
