Not sure how much would left for Charisma, though.
If that still sounds like a lot, bear in mind that Charisma is really easy to pump, due to the fetishes you can get at the Parlor of the Five Phases and the -0 Essence implant.
LIke others have said, you need 7 Charisma to pass all those checks, but you might want to get 8 charisma for the additional ettiquette. Again I don't know the best way to build adepts, but wouldn't you have to spread out your points a lot to cover Charisma, Body, Strength, Willpower, and maybe Quickness for dodge?
If you have the patience for it and figure things out, I'm sure Adepts are perfectly fun and capable. But either way I prefer to roleplay as more of an average, run-of-the-mill guy in HK, just due to the nature of the story.
For the HK campaign i found it only useful to take 4 points in cha which is decent enough to get by since the story has a low karma progression.
I read that adept skills use willpower to hit (like mana fist) so there is no real need to focus on str and melee skills.
