Namazu Mission -- Rescuing Test Subjects?
I could not for the life of me figure out how to free the test subjects in the Namazu mission. My roommate also tried, but neither of us had any clue how to do it.

You have to activate two separate computers during the fight in the lab where the antidote is stored: one is in the same room where you spoke with the scientist, the other is in the room near the one with the matrix jackpoint.
After you activate both consoles the message to choose to free the test subjects pops up.

Thanks. That was not at all apparent to either of us.

How? If you questioned the scientist she tells you exactly what you have to do and their are markers pointing you exactly where you need to go to complete the Optional objectives. I don't even.

Well, it's now been at least a week since I went through that, so I can't recall precisely how I missed it. But as I mentioned, my roomie missed it as well, so it's not just me.

There's also a weapons room where you require a code to get in. Does anyone know the code? And does the room have any interesting loot?

Damn, there is a medicine cabinet too...

Tapping into the matrix, fighting off army of enemies and activating 2 PC-s at the same time, all that within 3 rounds. Easy peasy... Even when starting the decker with 4AP. Not.
Also thought that altering mind controlling should be done in Matrix, like in a certain other mission.
Oh well, at least came out with 1 extra Trauma Kit added to inventory compared with the start of the mission...

Honestly, I thought it was in the matrix

You can find the code for both weapons and medicine rooms in previous stages of the mission. The weapons room has the best weapon in the game ( guided missile, 3x base damage ), hands down, plus some other god-tier ones ( same weapons that you can buy after completing the quatermaster's mission ).

No, the weapons safe in the undersea lab does NOT have the best weapon in the game. It's the best PISTOL in the game. I suspect you people are confusing the weapons in the Namazu mission with the Police Armory in the Tiger's Den run. THAT's where you need a decker to get the PDA code to grab the Ares HVAR and the Panther Autocannon.

Yeah, I was confused between 2 places.

I have never freed the test subjects. There just isn't time. I have to haste Is0bel immediately, just so that she can jack into the matrix the first round that the terminal becomes available. Everybody else ... and there's only 3 of us ... is jumping around like ants on a hot griddle trying to fight the arriving security troops as well as grab the antiserum.

Isobel has to get the code for the weapons safe, and also try to deactivate the enemy drones, which helps quite a bit in the fight. I'm usually covering Is0bel and preventing the arriving drones from whacking her. The other two of my crew are busy fending off the troops in the other room. The heck with the test subjects; they're not my problem.

This time I found those consoles to free test subjects, thanks to the pointers in the discussion topics. Also by the time I made it to cut the drone system all drones were blown up anyways;)
Didn´t have the time to hack safe in the lab, as the part of the matrix put me into fighting stance with AP and ran out of it.
Anyways I remember the safe didn´t contain anything particularly good? I have 2 Rifle guys and Isobel hunts enemies down like rabbits in the hole with her current pistol.

The safe contains the gyrojet pistol; a pistol that fires rocket rounds, base damage 14 if I recall. Freeing the test subjects really doesn't net you anything except not having to fight them on the way out. They aren't particularly difficult to defeat, and I'd rather have the pistol. If you don't have ranged skill yourself, you can give it to Duncan or Is0bel, or just sell it for some decent pocket change.

I mean, you SHOULD get some props if you do go overboard and free the test subjects; you would think it would net you a karma or two, but nooooo. Basically your only reward is is a nice warm feeling, like when you give food to a starving puppy.

I hate puppies.
