Expansion ending(s) *SPOILERS*
So I choose to let Krait walk away, rescue Qiu and burn the warehouse, I was kinda suprised to hear that Duncan just walked away, I didn't have him with me during the missin so I don't know if there was any option to deal with it then, not a big loss to be honest.
Liked the ending text, thing is it it left me wanting for more Shadowrun, dang it... still, big thank you to HBS for this free expansion, you guys did good.

That being said, could anyone tell me what happens if you side with Qiu?

Dont have saved before talking to Qiu? There is no fight anymore..load it and find out for yourself.

If you side with Qiu you go home with duncan. the epilogue is with you and duncan on a suborbital jetliner making your way to seattle. If you saved raymond, you have the option of all living there again as a family.

you never hear from Is0bel, gobbet or the others again. safer for everyon that way.

Oh, Duncan finally grows out from under your skirts and runs a small company private security firm. You help him from time to time, among whatever else you're doing.

If Duncan is with you during the final mission and you burn the warehouse down, you have it out with him then and there. He's pretty much screaming at you level angry.

So if I got it right, there are 2 major endings and a few variations:

- Burn warehouse -> stay with Auntie and your team w/o Duncan
- Take SINs -> stay with Duncan and Raymond

Qiu is dead/alive, Krait is dead/alive.

I'm wondering what there'll be in ending text if take SIN, but Duncan and Raymond are dead after main game's bad ending.

Great campaign overall, HBS writers don't stop to impress me.

Wait...how do you save Raymond?
Qualily Feb 7, 2016 @ 6:13am
I wish I could leave the warehouse but not have my character get his SIN back. It frankly seemed like a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ reward in the first place. My character never once expressed any desire to go back to his old life in SR:HK or the bonus campaign, at least not by my doing. He doesn't want to screw Duncan out of his SIN though.

I mean, I don't care if such an option leads to my character getting killed by a furious Auntie Cheng upon returning or having to run from the Yellow Lotus for however long either of them happen to stay alive after that.

Oh well, I can just headcanon it since we'll probably start over with a new character and team if they make another sequel.

"Good Fortune" ending of main game, you can catch Qian Ya into a legal trap if you gathered all the information about Yama Kings.

You talk to the yama king, and if you've learned enough in the main game you can force her to up and leave. Requires more talking to people at various points in the game to learn little bits here and there.

If she just leaves raymond can shut down the machine without sacrificing himself.

What's the ending if you got rid of 'lost' Raymond, and take the SINs?

You return to Seattle with Duncan, but there's a gap between you two. Duncan starts a security firm, you become some sort of private investigator.

As for Hong Kong: Ares took over HKPF, Yellow Lotus got wiped out, no news about your (ex-)colleagues.

Life's good.

Shame, I really wanted a happy ever after with Duncan and my character, without that old idiot present. :) Guess my (not written) fanfic version is better than playing through again.

In the end, it came down to either Duncan or the player character ruining the other's life. I chose to side with my character. After all, Auntie did promise me whatever extravagances I can imagine, and I can imagine a lot, as Han Solo once said.

Of course Duncan walked away, he never wanted to be a part of that life to begin with and only saw it as a means to an end. Getting to go back home to his old life is a dream come true to him.

After comparing the endings, what you do with Krait doesn't matter. But I would say that the best outcome for most people comes from saving Qiu and burning the warehouse. You will break with Duncan, but if you rewind to the beginning of the story he had a life and you did not, and there's a hint of a better future for him (following Qiu) and you can still decide to pay Raymond a visit.

Not gonna lie, I found the ending a tad underwhelming. SINs aren't that much of a problem, really. Any megacorp and pretty much any state can issue one. Given Duncan's skillset and background, he could've just negotiate it with something like Yamatetsu. This would include networking and bribes, but that is entirely possible. This would not contradict the HK main campaign: back then, you are in a huge debt with an APB over your head, but this is not a thing in the bonus campaign anymore. I could easily put 15k nyen on the table if I would sell my stash.

Also, Qiu has a quarrel with you, not with Duncan (as others mentioned). Even though you have burned the warehouse, she still owes you a few favors: saving her ass multiple times, dealing with Krait, and still getting some of the evidence against Ares plot (data logs). Even if she ran out of favors in Mitsuhama, she still got contacts that Duncan could use.

Also, I really miss the option to stay a shadowrunner, but break up with Cheng. Wouldn't really hop onto a corp's paycheck, though.

Finally, you still go to Seattle no matter the ending. OK, Duncan aren't talking to me anymore. Why can't I hang out with Raymond sometimes?

Just finished the Extended version. I wish I could have asked Qui for a SIN for Duncan but boatloads of nuyen for me. My char will def continue being a shadowrunner with Auntie Cheng.
