What Cyberware Do You Want?
Title says it all, which cyberwear that's mentioned in the source material but isn't in the games would you want present?

Personally, I always thought the "eyes" section was kind of lacking. Could've done with a bioware option that gives the +6% aim for higher nuyen but lower essence, or maybe some sort of Charisma increasing option.

Legitimate "skillsoft". Karma is pretty tight in the campaign, I want to be able to slot a chip that adds skill ranks, like decking, rigging, biotech, etc. The current cyber is limited to more physical pursuits, strength/quickness/body etc. We have some that add ranged and throwing, so expanding that field doesn't sound too far fetched.

I'm lost. I haven't touched pen and paper shadowrun in over 20 years so I can't really speak to what's in PnP but not in the game.

But there is a charisma increasing option and there is a cyber that increases intel and decking. They just show up pretty late in the game.

Tailored pheromones skin for +1 charisma

Encephalon NEXT for 1 intel 1 decking

Also, the 6% hit eyes only cost .5 essence, is there really some bioware doing good aim for .25 essence in pnp?.

Honestly, the arms and legs are REALLY lacking for the heavy Essence cost. Never even felt tempted by any of them.

Like, and the stat bonuses don't even stack beyond meta-human limits without the skill upgrade, either.

Really wish there was something more exotic to actually tempt you. Like arms with built in guns that remove your melee attack, or reverse joint legs that up your movement speed. Stuff like that.

a Boosted Reflexes option to trade 1 point of essence for 1AP permanently would be cool.

One of the things that bugged me is that the bioware and skillwires led to cyberlimb replacements on the models, which shouldn't be true.

Gun implants on actual cyberarms would likewise be nice.

one thing that annoys me is that they have "alternative" datajack cyberware, like the induction datajack that goes in an arm slot or an eye datajack that goes in the eye slot.
and the descriptions say that they are "for those who don't want to sacrifice the valuable headspace", but then the head slot only has one cyberware available to put in it. . the datajack.
so, you're using up a different slot, to save the head slot for something else, but there is nothing else. .

unless maybe something else gets unlocked later in the game and i just never made it that far.

Toxic Inhaler becomes available fairly early iirc.

I'm not sure it's available in all titles.

From an RP perspective, if main orsole use of the datajack is for the weapon thingie, I always thought the induction datajack made more sense. I still always picked the headware because there are too many valuable arm augmentations for street fsamurais and don't care that much about RP. Just saying.

nevermind, i see it. i just never made it that far in the other three attempts i made to playthrough. I always quit halfway.

as for arms, most of them seem for gun users and i made a melee character, so i took the grenade thrower backer and the jolt arm instead.

i was mainly annoyed because i was going for the put a cyberware in every slot achievment and i wanted something "useful", but then i realized i could just drop a quicksave, buy the cheapest things in every slot and then reload

The Toxin Exhaler is actually really, really good.

It's like a bleed effect, but one that actually stacks with, well, bleed. So you basically DOT melt enemies. Makes magical healing basically pointless for your enemies, too.

But yeah. A few more things in that head slot would have been nice. Not much to pick from.

i figured that the toxic breath might be good, but then i also considered, i might go and get it, only to promptly forget i have it and end up never using it.
my character is built around using hand razors in melee combat.

if i play through again, i'll probably do either mage or rifles, both of which again, seems like i would end up never using that toxin thing

I mean it seems cool, especially if Viper is your totem for like RP reasons, but I think it should be a 0AP action. Otherwise it's like, why not just shoot or stab with that action point.
