Colored Tail Collection

Hello, I'm in the final "crystals tale" chapter and I'm trying to (ideally) get 4 green tails and 1 purple tail for 4 rare bandv2 and 1 treasure hunterv2 respectively. I have been farming for these tails for over 10 hours now and haven't got a single colored tail to drop. I use different combinations of 1 rare bandv2 and 4 rare bands or 1 rare v2 with 2 or 3 rare bands or 1-2 treasure hunter bands. The most frustrating thing is that I only seem to get a drop on each every 25-35 green dragon or behemoth kills. What kind of time frame am I looking at to get these tails? At the current rate, it seems like it will be at least 100 more hours till I could conceivably achieve this. Anything to improve my chances/ speed up the process? Thanks in advance for any help.

It's VERY grindy for the tails, as they all have a 0.4% base chance, unless you use Rare Ring or Rare Ring V2 to boost the chances. Also, the Tails will only drop in their Moon Phase like they did back in the Tale they originally come from.

Grey - Grey Coeurl, True Moon Surface (Waning Moon)
Ebony - Ebony Dragon, Subterrane B4 (New Moon)
Pink - Flan Princess, Subterrane B5 (Full Moon)
Black - Shadow Dragon, Subterrane B5 (Waxing Moon)
Purple - Behemoth, Subterrane B7 (New Moon)
White - White Dragon, Subterrane B8 (Waxing Moon)
Green - Green Dragon, Subterrane B9 (Waning Moon)
Red - Red Dragon, Subterrane B10 (New Moon)
Blue - Thunder Dragon, Subterrane B11 (Full Moon)
Gold - Gold Dragon, Subterrane B12

Also, they only drop the Tail when alone in battle. If they have appeared with other monsters, they won't drop a Tail. Good luck!

Thanks. How much time am I looking at before I can acquire these tails? I have been at it for around 12 hours with 1 rare band v2 and the rest regular rare bands and I haven't had a single drop from a green dragon or behemoth. I've killed a little over 100 of each monster (the stronger version by themselves) and have nothing to show it.

I got lucky on some main tales and got a drop 1st time. But that was only twice, the rest I had to grind for about 20-25 hours worth of grinding. It helped with the getting all characters to 70 but it does get very annoying after a while not getting a drop.

Took me 449 green dragons in Rydia's story before I got my first green tail. She's now level 82 after 35 hours. Needless to say, I'm not farming for any more of them...

I remember using 2 different save files so I could "buy" some of the colored tails I just couldn't get on my main save. Quite grindy..
