I've just found this, though (CONTAINS HUGE SPOILERS):
http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_permanently_missable_content#Final_Fantasy_IV:_The_After_Years
Some of these are probably false for this version. Trying to make the list as spoiler-free as possible, and/or use spoiler tags:
* Ceodore's Tale: Unequip Kingsword during the fight against B... Bahamut
* Edge's Tale: Don't fail on the Eblan Four's missions. Gekkou can't fight the Mysterious Girl. You can't lose any of Edge's disciples in this version.
* Lunarian Tale: Flashback of a character called G......Golbez... ;), unequip Ebony Blade.
* End game: When fighting D... Dark Knight, make sure you have characters GCCR Golbez, Cecil, Ceodore, Rosa in your party so G remains in your team.
* Two summons can be missed if you don't have Rydia in your party when you fight them (battle is unavoidable). These two are: Asura, and Leviathan
* Don't forget to find Chocobo summon in the overworld during The Gathering Tale:The Moon Gravity (I think it's a part of the Crystal Tale)
On FF4, there were good guides that were close enough to the Steam version. FF4TAY is a lot worse... On gamefaqs, you have only Wii guides, and they're a lot different from this. It sucks big time. You have to follow many guides, and paying close attention.
I'm using this one as a general walkthrough (it's not very perfect, but it helps, and it's simple to follow.

Note that you'll do Kain's Tale after Edward's, not after Ceodore's.
For collectibles in general -- Bands, Summons, Adamantites, Magazines (those two seem to be excluded from Wii version), I'm using this:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=441388203
For bestiary entries, the best guides IMO are the ones like this:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=441838691
(there's a separate guide for each tale)
None of these guides is perfect, but with all of them, I think we should do well.
From this, i looks like you can get all the eidions or the bands but not both but nothing else seems to indicate that.
"If the player fails on Izayoi, Zangetsu, Tsukinowa or Gekkou's missions in Edge's Tale, they will die, making them inaccessible in The Crystals. Thus, Bands with any of them are also permanently missable. This can also happen if Gekkou decides to fight the Mysterious Girl."
and
"If Rydia has recovered Leviathan and Asura as summons, Bahamut will turn on the Mysterious Girl and destroy her before returning to Rydia, but if not, Bahamut must be slain and will not be available to be summoned."
does
Or does "Gekkou decides to fight the Mysterious Girl" prevent bands by him dying not her?
got to figure out what the trigger for this fight is too.
I found this in the guide I mentioned, it might answer the question:
Take a couple steps to the left. Gekkou will see the Mysterious Girl and the monks. The remaining monks will be easily knocked down. You now are given the choice to "Hold back" or "Join in". If you have a death wish, choose "Join in", otherwise make the wise decision and "Hold back".
Afaik, the girl is not playable, while Gekkou is, so you just make sure he doesn't fight her. I doubt she has a bestiary entry. According to Bestiary guides, there isn't (not for Gekkou's mission, at least).
I'm pretty sure you can get both Bands and Summons, though. Fighting all enemies prevents you from getting a Summon, though (you can fight and then reload, it's in the guides).
Bands need characters to be in your party. It's like a group skil between specific characters. I'm mastering all bands as I unlock them in the game, but it may be possible that they can be mastered on the last chapter, once you have access to all characters (I think this happens, although I'm not sure).
They say that even if you do 1-hit kill a Mystery Egg, its status will show only a bunch of "????"
