Am I alone in maining Calca & Brina?

I don't know...I just sort of fell into it. When I went to the second area of the final chapter and had to pick a team and didn't know what all I was going to be up against, I chose Golbez for his strength and chose some other characters that I didn't really want but wanted to level up to eventually get the level 70 achievement.


I ended up taking Calca & Brina. They sucked, but I grinded and they stopped dying. Eventually, with Luca, they were able to cast Calcabrina to cause 9999 damage which was great against bosses and those enemies you can only find with certain moon phases. Eventually, Calca got a weapon that delivers instant death. And, if you can believe it, Brina is my party's main healer.


My main team is Golbez (melee attacks or meteor cast), Calca (instant kills), Brina (heal everybody), Luca (band casting Calcabrina to attack), and then I will maybe use someone like Ceodore (for backup healing & backup melee attacks) or someone else I want to level up.


I don't know of anyone else maining Calca & Brina, but somehow I did it and it's worked out so well that I haven't felt the desire to change that portion of my team. I'll switch them out when they hit level 70 though.


I will say, the only downside for me with using Calca & Brina is story related because they don't speak, so you miss out on some minor dialogue with each crystal hatching boss fight.
