Rainbow Shell Necklace

Just wondering if i was meant to get the 10 Rainbow Shells for my sister to make a necklace before she was taken by the Pirates?
Do i need to re-start & make sure she gets the shells before the pirates arrive?

Yes, you will need that necklace later. You've probably already started over, but I wanted to post anyway just in case. I had to start over because I sold all my fish before I learned fishing, and I needed it for resting somewhere. I didn't have any money to even buy bread. Not sure how I ended up in that mess! I'd completely forgotten to go back to Castaway Beach and give the fisherman his flour.

You're more than welcome! I don't know if you'll get another chance to give her the shells and get the necklace, so I would start over just in case. I'd hate for you to play for hours and realize you can't complete the game.

You need the necklace to rescue your sister, so you should do the shells/necklace quest as soon as you get it.

Sorry for my short-term memory! I couldn't remember WHEN I actually needed the necklace when I posted before.

I'm not sure if there were enough shells at the start to make the necklace, but i wasn't very far in, so i think i'll do a re-start anyway.

I found all the shells for the necklace early in the game, so you shouldn't have any problems with that if you do it quickly. They sometimes appear in the same locations on the map after you visit other places and return. I think I found them all by visiting Castaway Beach and the Fishing Village, but it's been a few days since I finished the game. Sorry I can't remember the details.

This game was so much fun that I decided to replay the first one. I think that's why I was confused earlier.

Yeh, i really enjoyed the 1st game in the series. I found it great fun while also being relaxing & not hectic.

Your sister makes the necklace whether you help her or not. If you miss her quest, the old man delivers your sister's necklace to you just after the pirates ambush.
