Change difficulty? (outside of career)
Is there any way to change the difficulty or at least know what difficulty the AI is when you make an exhibition match outside of the career?

I'm new to the game and before starting with the career mode, I would like to test out what difficulty would be best for me, since there are 6 difficulties with 10 sub-difficulties I have no idea what I should play against. I am aware I can change the difficulty anytime during my career and even during matches (so I heard), but I want to play through the whole career without changing the difficulty back and forth to feel my personal progression.

Maybe I just didn't find the option to change the AI difficulty? Took me a bit to find out how to change my player and opponent as well, so I might have overlooked how to change AI difficulty.

And if it's not possible to change the difficulty for the exhibition match, what difficulty can the AI be compared to in comparison with the career difficulties?

Nevermind, I found out how to. Should have used google I guess. I'm still gonna leave this thread up though if anyone will have the same question in the future.

Hello,

you can change the difficulty level in the Character Sheet of your opponent in the Training Club.

Look for the "Level" and "SubLevel" in this picture :

Note: if you do a full career, it's very unlikely you won't change the difficulty level in the middle, as tennis is a game of balance and once you progress things tend to get too easy, at least till the point where you reach your own maximum... :)

Thanks for answering, already figured out how to change difficulty, see my post above. I'll test out the difficulties. Maybe I'll start career on a very high difficulty right of the bat, so that I won't have to change it later. I just want to test out what difficulty fits best to me. Given equal player stats, I want the AI to be very challenging and hard to beat. Which would mean that I will struggle early in the career due to bad player stats, but as my player stats increase over time I get better and will manage to beat stronger opponents and when I reach the top 25 or top 10 in the end, it should still feel like a struggle. So basically the difficulty stays always the same against players with equal stats, but as my stats increase it will be easy to beat players with lower stats after a while. That's kind of the progression I want, with top tier players being pretty much impossible to beat in the beginning (if you even manage to get matched up against one in a tournament).

Ok, in that case, here what I would advise you (and further testing on your side may or may not confirm that), if you play action & reflexes games :
- on normal, then pick Junior-10
- on hard -> Pro-10
- on very hard -> Master-10

PS: I know I answered 20 seconds too late the 1st question... :'-( ... :steammocking:
