Photon Charger: Broken?

Combining Photon Charger's charge ability and phase inverter is enough to literally destroy ANYTHING, area bosses go down in few seconds.
Using this also causes a bug that automacically completes the "Destroy all the station attachments" side quest, and even breaks the
"Finish area with 3 compelted bonus objectives" Achievements.
