Since the issue has been occurring since I got the game, I'm gonna email Disney Interactive and see if hopefully they can try to do something to fix it on Steam. This doesn't happen on the original disc, so this is more to do with Steam saves conflicting. But if Toy Story 3 was updated on Steam back 2 years ago, hopefully they'll do the same here.

I don't know if people are still checking this post, but I think i have found a solution to the game not saving properly. My work around is that you need to save the game then move the save slot you selected from the game to somewhere else on the PC, then you need to restart the game, and when they ask if you want to create a new save when you first launch the game say no and then you need to put the original save slot you first created back into the games "SaveGames" folder while the game is running to replace the saves that are currently on file. I hope this wasn't confusing and helps someone.

So when the game launches it doesn't actually save, it just says it is and then deletes itself on the next launch, what you need to do is

1. Copy the the save and place it on the desktop for easy access.

2. On start up of the game, you need to delete every save slot in the savegames folder.

3. When the game ask you if you want to make a new save, say no.

4. Then add the save from the desktop into the games savegames folder.

5. If you did the last 4 steps, the game should have your old save in the save slot the save was named after.

If this still didn't help, I might try and make a video on how to get it to work.

So here is the video https://youtu.be/j6yl77iLzag. It doesn't have voice over, but I did try and use Youtube Close Captions to try and explain what I am doing in the video. I hope this helps
