Video isn't working inside diner

the video works up until inside the diner. then I get a blank screen with a bar at bottom which has green reading on left and goes into yellow then red. I have changed the resolution, but still the same. I bought the Steam key code from Wild Tangent games. Wild Tangent doesn't refund Steam key codes and Steam doesn't refund games purchased from someone else. So I am stuck with a game that doesn't work.
