Great to know the game is also getting an upgrade when the expansion is released. I've often thought it odd that all my projects involving steam from water cannons were silent. I hoped we would get a pricing for the expansions but honestly I'm happy to pay whatever on Friday. And also a big thank you to the spiderling team for all the great work your doing for the community! can't wait for more in the future!

DLC is controversial due to the way it's implemented all the time. Almost every companies are corrupted by greed and try to get as much money as they can from consumers. I don't believe it's your case, you've put quite a lot of effort into besiege and I've loved every part of it. I was planning on getting Splintered Sea as a way to support you. Now I can get the OST and a cool cube? open preorders and take my money!

The developer confirmed the price to be $8.99 in the comments on feature overview #1
I'll certainly be getting this for myself and a few friends. Exciting stuff!

Edit: I assume that'll be the price for Splintered Sea only and not the supporter edition

Oh actually I have a question for the devs (unless they answered somewhere else I didn't see). What's the approach you're taking for multiplayer? Is it the stellaris approach with "if the host own the DLC, everyone has it" or do you have to have the DLC to have the blocks approach.

Always thought vehicle sound design was lacking to the point I couldn't imagine playing without the current sound mod, cool to see a first-party solution especially as it seems to sound nice

I can imagine all the cool sound packs people are going to make and put on the workshop. I'm sure someone will figure out how to make an accurate engine throttle sound using logic.

When creating a multiplayer session, the host can decide whether content from The Splintered Sea is allowed. If the content is turned off, any player can join the game. If the DLC content is turned on, only people who own the expansion can join the game.

Thank you for your kind words & support. :)

Will you guys ever add a server browser to the game in the future?
The hate for DLC comes from mediocre games that are full of DLC with no value. Besiege is a fantastic game that absolutely earns the right to sell DLC, no matter how big. We love the work you guys have put in. I wish other developers loved their games as much as you do.
Yeah Besiege sorry im gonna have to take away your cooking license, because

IM PROMOTING YOU TO CHEF 🔥🔥🔥
