[Resolved] Help with pistons

Hello everybody!
I'm working with pistons, and I wanted to know if there is a way not to attach them to the adjacent blocks, so i can use them as a support for a long chain of pistons?

i have no idea what you are trying to do, hard to visualize what you are trying.

Trying to push a boulder with 4-5 pistons. The boulder is on a half pipe, and the piston behind it are in the air. I wanted to put wooden block under them to us it as a support when they extend, to make them go strait forward. Instead the go a little bit down, because of their own weight.

So i wanted to know if you can put blocks beside or under a piston without them being attached to the piston, so when he extend, those blocks don't move and the piston doesn't try to push them.

EDIT: Ok, i found a solution. Tried it earlier, didn't work, now it works... Just had to put the wooden block parallel to the pistons when i built my machine.
