Loving the ocean

The water/ocean is just so beautiful.
As a part time hobby game maker using unity, can I ask did you create the ocean your selves or use a unity plugin, for example Crest, I'm wondering if I should pay up to use it rather than trying to code my own.

We made it ourselves. :)

Our development team recommends looking around online to see how other people have implemented water for their projects, so you have examples of different implementations. This'll show you the benefits and drawbacks of different designs.

They recommend against buying a system as you won't fully understand how it works and this means you'll have less control over it. With that said, creating your own water is a huge task! But hopfully the discovery process will be fun for you as well. :)
