Nowever, there is a Camera Block in the game where with a press of a button, it will follow the block it's attached to.
Short explanation in setting up a proper camera:
Upright this camera will always stay perpendicular to the ground. so the roll and the pitch of the plane are neglected. it will however still be influenced by the yaw. nice to fly big slow planes in third person. if you try to make a backflip with the plane, it will move out of the camera view because it cannot look up or down.
First person & true tracking
Similar in how they work, they both follow every movement of the plane, the difference is that true tracking allows for smoother transitions (thus, fast accelerations dont shake the camera). imo, worse for third person plane camera, as it follows also the roll. first person allows to set the field of view. which is nice for cockpit views. advices to set teh Fov to 70 or 80 for a very wide cockpit view angle. this also makes it less necessary to turn the camera manually.
Custom
the 'hidden' setting. it can be adjusted in any parameter, including a 'prediction' parameter. this camera neglects only the planes roll. so if you backflip with this camera, it does follow the plane correctly. this is the setting I would recommend using for planes.
in the end: use third person Custom camera for nice flying and dodging obstacles, use a high fov first person camera for chasing and dogfighting.
