I Have a Great Idea
I am going to make a reloadable trebuchet. As far as I know no one has ever done this in besiege. I plan on it having 12 shots. Also I am going to make the projectile release automatically instead of the typical manual release. This way it's accuracy will be more consisiant. This creation will also be somewhat realistic because it will be 100% gravity powered. If anyone has anything similar let me know. I am interested in hearing other opinions on this idea.

Nice. But my design is not a catapult it's a trebuchet. So it will have a sling attached to an arm instead of an arm with a bucket. I have had some ideas on how to make it reloadable. My plan is for the sling to be a winch that will be cut by a blade after a certain point. The winch rope will be attached between the projectile and a ballast with a grabber. The trebuchet arm will come down and the grabber will attach to the arm. Then when I release the trebuchet arm the counterweight will pull down and lift the arm which will drag the sling with the projectile attached to the arm via grabber. Then the blade will cut the rope and the projectile will be launched. I drop the remaining grabber then rotate the ammo belt and lower the arm and repeat. I already have a prototype. I just need to refine it and give it mobility. Currently I have it suspended with pins for testing.

if you cut a rope to make it fire, hoy do you plan to return the counterweight to its position? also how do you plan to replace said rope?

On the arm's pivot point I have a mechanism that can turn the arm and therofore lift the counter weight. Then when I am ready to fire, this mechanism has a release system to let the arm be pulled by the weight. When I am ready to lift the counter weight again I just reattach mechanism the and turn the arm again. The rope being cut Is not an issue because each projectile comes with a new rope that gets attached to the arm. It looks like this: xc----------o
the x is the grabber c is a ballast the line is the rope and the o is the projectile ballast. The grabber attaches to the arm when it is down. When the arm is released the projectile is swung and the rope is cut releasing the projectile. Then the grabber is dropped off the arm and the process repeats. The ammo is stored on a rotating platter that rotates to line up with the arm for each shot. It has 12 shots total.
