Local multiplayer and Coop?
The game states that it is local multiplayer and local coop, does this mean its LAN only or can multiple players play off of one screen? Does this support controllers?

Thanks!

Dunno about controllers, but it is not just LAN. You have to get peoples IPs or connect via their profile where it says "Join game", but it does work over the internet.

Local-Co-op does indeed mean LAN, there is currently no split screen feature in Besiege.
Local multiplayer / local coop refers to same computer gameplay. I'm not sure how it would function in this game however.

No, it doesn't. Didn't you read this:

Yeah I read that reply but Local Multiplayer/Local Co-op on the Steam store has always referred to on the same system rather than over a LAN. They had a "LAN Multiplayer" tag for awhile but looks like they removed it in one of the more recent Steam store revisions but it still feels incorrect to have this tagged as Local Multiplayer/Local Co-op when there's no split screen/shared screen/hot seat functions.

You're right... if you consider Steam from about 4 or 5 years ago.
For the couple of last years, since Steam has updated its chart and tags system, there has been a specific tag for what you describe "Same system" local multiplayer/coop and, no, it's not a tag created by the community.

I'll post a link toward another game that has local multiplayer/coop so that you can see what is the official tag :
http://store.steampowered.com/app/448510/Overcooked/

Notice the "Shared/Split Screen" tag below the "Local Co-op" tag?
That's the tag you're talking about and Besiege doesn't have that official tag.

Saying that it works over LAN when it has multiplayer capability is redundant.
If it has networking it doesn't matter what kind of network it is LAN or WAN.
Adding "Local Co-op" tag just confuses people.
