can the ai crash on thier own at daytona/talledega
ive done more plate races on this game than anything because its whats most fun to me
particularly at daytona
but ive never once seen the ai crash on thier own at either plate track so im wondering CAN THEY! if you are the only one that has even a chance to crash or all crashes will be your fault then imo that takes alot away from it and is just plain dumb since it takes a large part of strategy out of it

Yes the Plate races especially in Daytona is horrible too worse.I have raced the A.I. on it and never encountered a crash and not on Talladega either.Talla is the better one but still no crashes I have seen. You will notice the AI races 3 to 4 wide roughly 20 cars deep and never gets off track. It makes it very difficult to pass them but Talla I have won races on it. The only crashes is when you try to get past them and they beat your car to pieces til you wreck. If you like to restrictor race on here Talla is the best of the worst. You can turn down the AI before the race but I saw very little difference. They run a constant pattern in front. Get several friends and do it then it may be a better experience for you.

i hear all these people complain about the ai at restrictor plate trackks but ive never had any preblems except ive run probably 30 plate races and never seen a single crash that wasnt in some way my fault
at daytona i win probably 1/4 of the races against ai so all the people that complain that its difficult to pass there are obviosly doing something wrong (i play 90% difficulty)
and also ive never had them beat my car to pieces either (if you mean from behind thats supposed to happen its callled bump drafting

I would totally be fine with the AI doing this if it were the beginning and end of the races. Hopefully in the next game we'll get some rudimentary dynamic AI that scales difficulty based on the time in the race.

A man can dream.

Short answer is today the A I crashed ahead of me so yes they can wreck themselves.
